The Cork City Comhairle na nîg is a youth council representing Cork City. There are 34 Comhairle na nîg across Ireland. Comhairle na nîg members are aged between 12 and 18 years old and meet regularly and voluntarily throughout the year.

The website www.workwonders.ie has been created by the young people themselves as a fresh way for Cork CityÕs young people to take employment into their own hands. It gathers the most relevant advice, tips and support into one place and presents it to young people from their own perspective. The website features sections on Work and Career Preparation, Finding Jobs, Support for Entrepreneurs as well as a User Forum.

Nationally Cork City Comhairle na nîg is supported by the DCYA with local schools and youth services supporting it locally. As such, it is well structured and committed to involving young people in policy input and consultation.
