Over 100,000 passengers are expected to travel through Cork Airport between this weekend and the start of the New Year as the Christmas holiday travel season gets underway in earnest from next Friday.Passengers using Cork Airport over the festive period will be welcomed home by the Christmas lights and entertained by various choirs and fund raising events for local charities. Cork AirportÕs festive initiative Ō12 Days of ChristmasÕ started on December 11th last and continues up until December 22nd. The Christmas event will see local choirs, singers, musicians and dancers performing at Cork Airport over 12 days in the lead-up to Christmas many of them supporting local charities including the Cork Simon Community.
