The Portobello College Mock Trials Competition involves Transition Year students in mock court trials where students assume the roles of solicitors, barristers, jurors, witnesses and court reporters, forming a team of seventeen from each school. The tournament is the most popular team competition for transition year in the country. Its purpose is to allow secondary school students from all over Ireland to gain a first hand understanding of how our legal system works. Pic Paul Sharp
