DK13022015-SuperValu-012 DKANE 13/02/2015 REPRO FREE Bréda McCarthy and Carol O'Driscoll, Cobh Animation Team with David Collins, Barry Collins SuperValu in Barry Collins SupeValu, Carrigaline who Celebrate their 150 Years in Retailing Barry Collins Supervalu, Carrigaline is kicking off their 150th year of retail excellence this February with a special promotion that will run through to their official anniversary weekend this May. The Collins family opened their first small store in the town in 1856 and since then have grown the business to the 30,000 square foot store that employs over 150 people locally today. This past Valentine's weekend marked the start of the celebration where in store promotions were highlighted by a special in store walk through by the Cobh Animation Team who paraded in their finest 1856 lace and period costumes.
