Four year old Penny Foy and her brother George (2) from Monkstown with the Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party in Fota House, Co Cork
Last year1,100 children attended along with their parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. The children went on a trail through the arboretum picking up clues along the way and at the end of the trail each child collected a standard sized Easter egg.
This year, taking place on Good Friday and Easter Saturday, the theme of the Easter Egg Trail coincides with the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll’s Alice In Wonderland. Throughout the grounds there will be various giant sized props based on the story where children can interact, engage with the characters, and pick up various clues along the way. The trail will culminate with a magnificent Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in in the beautiful frameyard garden.
