Participants all set for the start of

the 5km/8.5km walk in aid of Ballintemple Heart, the community organisation which has fundraised for, and purchased their first AED (Defibrillation) unit, which was 'officially unveiled' on Sunday 22nd May 2016. The unit is located outside the Allcare Pharmacy in Ballintemple.
Further fundraising is planned to secure a second AED unit which will be placed at the local Ballintemple National School. A fundraising concert featuring Cork soprano Mary Hegarty is planned for November.
