The Central Statistics Office, Skehard Road, Cork celebrated the achievements of staff member Olive Loughnane at a ceremony at the offices on Wednesday 27th July 2016. Olive was recently awarded the 20km race walk gold medal from the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, after the retroactive banning of the Russian athlete Olga Kaniskina. World Champion Olive Loughnane holds the Gold medal, wth (left) John Treacy, CEO, Irish Sports Council and (right) Padraig Dalton, Director General CSO.
