Catherine Mansfield with daughter Louise Jermyn (wife

of John Jermyn) and 13month old Elizabeth (daughter of player John Jermyn) watch the Repubic of Ireland's Olympic Hockey match against India. Ireland were defeated 2-3 by India in their opening game of the group.
John Jermyn of Cork Church of Ireland Hockey Club, based at Garryduff, is a member of the Irish team and scored in the opening game.
