LC-pairc-dec-01 EEXX sport 15/12/2016. A crane in use for works on the roof of the new 'main' stand at Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Cork on Thursday 15th December 2016. Physical works by Cork City Council on the 'public realm' Marina Park surrounding the new stadium have not progressed to the same extent. The re-vamped GAA stadium is on progress to open in June 2017, but will be adjacent to a derelict showgrounds, and served by cracked and potholed footpaths, potholed and flood-prone approach roads, old perimeter walls, and no public lighting etc. Pic; Larry Cummins
