It was a stand-up 'Picnic on the Mall' at the North Mall, Cork as supporters of the 'Save Cork City' campaign gathered to highlight the importance of the North Mall as a civic amenity and that it needs to be preserved for the people of Cork and for future generations.

Red balloons were tied to the historic railings beside the River Lee, Cork as people gathered to oppose the OPW flood relief proposals. The plan for the area is to build concrete flood protection walls.
