Fiona O'Flynn (nee Twomey) is the daughter of Eddie Twomey who built and co-designed the Rankin boats. The day marked the 41st anniversary of Eddie Twomey, RIP.
Twelve boats from the Rankin Dinghy Group set off for Crosshaven from Whitepoint, Cobh, Co Cork. Approx. 80 Rankin dinghies were built from the late 1950's to the 1980's and the Rankin Dinghy group was set up to revive the class and restore boats to their past glory.
