Scoil Oilibhéir, Ballyvolane Health Promoting Schools Day on Thursday 26th March. The theme of the day was 'A Healthy Body, A Healthy Mind'. The focal point of the day was the official opening of the new Activity Trail in the school grounds at 1.30 pm by Deirdre Hosford of Operation Transformation. The trail was sponsored by KBC Bank. Immediately following the opening the whole school (minus the infant classes) participated in a 'dancethon' (performing 'Footloose', An Dreoilín, Step it Up etc) in the school yard. There also was GAA coaching & Aerobics classes throughout the day. Pupils, parents and teachers get active during the dance-athon in the school yard.
