An ACE day for first graduates of UCC’s
Certificate in Procurement Management
Graduates of UCC’s part-time Certificate in Procurement Management celebrated their award on Friday, November 17th. The graduates were conferred with the only NFQ level 8 procurement programme available through the university sector in Ireland.
Offered by Adult Continuing Education (ACE) at UCC, in partnership with UCC’s Department of Management and Marketing, the Certificate in Procurement Management comprises modules delivered by both academic staff and expert practitioners in the field of procurement.
Academic Director of the Programme, Dr. David McKevitt, has published extensively on public procurement and is recipient of a prestigious Procurement research award from the global procurement federation, IFPSM. Also partnering UCC in the programme delivery is Ingrid De Doncker, CEO of iDDea, a Procurement training and consultancy business and Founder of the PTI (Procurement Transformation Institute).
Together with Niall O’Halloran, Procurement Manager of Rochestown Park Hotel, and renowned guest lecturers from various industries and sectors, the programme offers a unique blend of reflective learning and skills development for any business professional who is serious about career progression in procurement.
Now in its second year with 100% growth in student numbers, this innovative programme delivers benefits to the individual, the procurement profession, the business and the wider community.
